Police in Nashville have arrested a 41-year-old man and charged him with multiple felonies after he allegedly stalked and sent sexually explicit messages to 15-year-old former Nashville actress Maisy Stella.

Stella played the role of Daphne Conrad on the drama, which ran from 2012-2016 on ABC and CMT. Her older sister, Lennon Stella, played the role of Maddie Conrad. Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports that police arrested Joshua Andrew Fox in Nashville on Tuesday (Nov. 19) and charged with him aggravated stalking and solicitation of a minor after he reportedly sent Maisy Stella a number of sexually explicit messages that included a picture of a woman he is alleged to have raped at gunpoint.

The charges come after an investigation that spans years. Fox 17 in Nashville reports that Fox moved from Miami to Nashville to be closer to the Stella family and began sending various Stella family members messages via social media, whereupon their mother, MaryLynne Stella, filed a police report. An FBI agent met with Fox at a Panera near Vanderbilt Univerity in November of 2018 after Fox sent then 14-year-old Maisy Stella a message asking her to meet him for sex. The agent warned him to cease contact with the family, but he resumed within days, sending Maisy Stella as many as 85 messages in a single day at one point.

According to an affidavit, Fox sent Stella a picture of a woman he had kidnapped and raped at gunpoint on Nov. 12, 2018. That woman reported the crime the following day, and authorities in Asheville, N.C., arrested Fox on rape and kidnapping charges. He was arrested Tuesday after being transferred to Tennessee. The Tennessean reports that Fox posted an $80,000 bond that day, and is set to appear in court on Thursday (Nov. 21) for a hearing on the charges.
