Reba McEntire Is Going to (Seriously) Glow as ACM Awards Host
Reba McEntire will be returning to hosting duties at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night (April 15), and as a veteran of the event—this will mark her 15th time doing it—the singer knows just how to get prepped for the big night.
McEntire posted a photo to Instagram Saturday night that shows she has her priorities in the right place—namely, getting pampered at the spa, along with a couple of other zen-seeking buddies. "All a cowgirl needs is a banana mask & her peeps," she jokingly captioned the shot.
Fans played along, with one even posting "You got the beat" (a reference to the Go-Go's famous 1981 album Beauty and the Beat, in which the group poses in face masks and towels). But hey, she's right...this beauty business is no joke, especially when one is going to be televised in hi-def!
Dierks Bentley revealed in February that he and Luke Bryan would not be returning as hosts of the 2018 ACMs, likely because of Bryan's new gig as an American Idol judge. They'd co-hosted for two years, and the clear replacement had to be McEntire, as she'd hosted the show for more than a decade before stepping down in 2013 to let Bryan and former co-host Blake Shelton take the reins.
The 2018 ACM Awards air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 15.
