Rory Feek’s Daughters Honor Joey’s Memory With Beautiful Picnic

It's been two years since Joey Feek's death on March 4, 2016, and her family continues to mourn. But the Joey + Rory star's memory lives on because her beauty is everywhere, her stepdaughter, Heidi Feek, says.

Heidi, her sister Hopie and Joey and Rory's young daughter, Indiana, gathered for a picnic near Joey's gravesite at their Tennessee home on Sunday, the two-year anniversary of her passing. It was a beautiful, blue sky day, and they paid tribute to Joey in the most heartfelt way.

"It’s been 2 years now since Joey passed away. I see her in every flower that blooms and every smile on Indy’s face," Heidi writes alongside a photo of her and Hopie smiling, as Indiana flashes an adorable, beaming grin at the camera. "Today we had a picnic, in the cemetery, next to Jo’s grave. I think she would’ve loved it. I miss her so much."

He returned to the stage alone for the first time since her death with a series of Christmas shows in 2017, at the family barn. "She is in every song I sing and story I tell. And every breath I breathe," he says.
