Scotty McCreery’s Graduation Picture

The first week of June 2012 was pretty sweet for Scotty McCreery. He went from accepting a CMT Music Award to accepting his high school diploma in less than 24 hours. The 2011 'American Idol' winner chose to stay in school after finishing the show, and his senior year at Garner High School in Garner, N.C. was as typical as you'd expect. Football games, prom, a spot on the baseball team and graduation were as high on the priority list as opening slots on huge tours. “Ive enjoyed these last 4 years.. wouldn't trade any of them for the world. #iamatrojan,” he tweeted after graduating. The following fall, he began his first semester at N.C. State University.
