The Swon Brothers long for the good old days in the acoustic video for their new single, "What Ever Happened."

Brothers Zach and Colton Swon shout to the world in the passionate song, asking why we're "moving in reverse" as people continue to turn on one another. The singers call for civility and peace in times of turmoil, wondering how we've lost sight of what it means to love.

"Choosing sides is just a losing game / We're colorblind, we all bleed the same," the singers profess in the second verse before crying out in the chorus, "What ever happened to the good old days / We're running out of the good old days / Moving in reverse, something's got to change / What ever happened to the good old days."

The brothers set the stage for the emotive song inside a dark recording studio, both softly strumming acoustic guitars and capturing the emotion of the song with their moving vocal performances, both in music and lyrics.

They penned "What Ever Happened" in one hour, reflecting on their days growing up and how different life is today. According to a press release, "It was a culmination of their discussion about the world and how much things have changed since they were kids. Longing for a simpler time, they thought others might feel the same and outpoured the lyrics and the melody in a song that defines the times we are living in."

"What Ever Happened" serves as the duo's first single release since 2017's "Don't Call Me." In between music sessions, Colton is preparing for his wedding to fiancee Caroline Glaser in March of 2018. The couple met during the audition process for The Voice in 2013.
