Indiana native and country singer-songwriter, Stephen Wesley may spend a lot of time writing tunes for himself, but he also pulls off a killer cover. Wesley is exclusively premiering his Eric Church and Marshall Tucker Band medley on Taste of Country.
The Marshall Tucker Band is as old as the CMA Music Festival. Both were born in 1972, and both have have experienced changes in recent years. Fans at this year's Kick-Off Concert at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage will find out that both have the same infectious energy today that they did 40 years ago. Maybe even more.
The Marshall Tucker Band released their hit record 'A New Life,' over forty years ago, and now they're actually helping internet sensation Kayla Slone find a new (and very exciting!) life. Slone, an aspiring country singer, was invited onstage by MTB at the Grand Ole Opry, where she helped sing one of their classic hits.
This year marks the 40th anniversary since the formation of Southern rock greats, the Marshall Tucker Band. To commemorate this special milestone, the band is releasing 'The Marshall Tucker Band: Greatest Hits,' which will arrive in stores on Tuesday, April 5.
