Patty Loveless

Country spitfire Miranda Lambert wrapped her On Fire Tour over the weekend in Pelham, Alabama, finishing a crazy year of road work, during which she performed to more than a million people. To help commemorate a successful tour, fellow country star Patty Loveless joined Lambert on stage Friday night (Oct. 5) in Atlanta.

Patty Loveless' 1997 smash hit, 'You Don't Seem to Miss Me,' is a song that landed in her hands on a happy accident. The tune's writer, Jim Lauderdale, performed the song for Loveless and her husband/producer in the 90s as she geared up to head into the studio to record her 'Long Stretch of Lonesome' album. The song later turned into a duet with the legendary George Jones.

Patty Loveless is the big winner in this year's Best Bluegrass Album Grammy category. Loveless beat out the likes of Sam Bush, The Del McCoury Band and the SteelDrivers to win the coveted prize tonight at the pre-telecast portion of tonight's Los Angeles-based ceremony.
