Florida Georgia Line Join Tayla Parx on New Song ‘Fight’ [Listen]
Florida Georgia Line have teamed with pop singer-songwriter and actress Tayla Parx on a new song titled "Fight," which lands amid the news that the country-pop duo are working on their fifth studio album.
"Fight" finds the trio agreeing that they would rather get along. They join their voices together in harmony for a chorus that opens the song and sets the tone, singing, "I'm not saying I'm right / I'm not saying you're wrong / I'm just saying right now I wanna get along / Baby, I don't wanna fight."
Parx takes the first verse, and FGL's Tyler Hubbard takes the second, providing a back-and-forth perspective between a man and a woman who are negotiating their relationship. While the chorus is firmly pop-oriented, the verses are an amalgam of pop and country that are not that different from something FGL might record on their own.
26-year-old Parx is best known for her work on songs by Khalid and Normani, Ariana Grande and Panic! At the Disco, among many others. Florida Georgia Line have often reached across genre lines for previous collaborations, including 2017's "God, Your Mama and Me," which featured the Backstreet Boys, and "Meant to Be," for which they joined Bebe Rexha that same year.

The duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley turned to social media on Tuesday (Nov. 19) to share a photo of themselves in the recording studio, writing, "Guess who’s back in the studio?! #record5 #fgl #letsgooooo #newmusic."
Florida Georgia Line released their fourth studio album, Can't Say I'm Not Country, in February of 2019. Their current single, "Blessings," is the third from that project, following "Simple" and "Talk You Out of It."
