WATCH: Thomas Rhett Trolls His Brother Over His Music Choice
Thomas Rhett was so astonished to find his younger brother Tyler Lankford blasting his music during a recent family beach outing that he had to document it on social media.
"Rare sighting of my little brother listening to my music," country singer writes in text on the video with the caption #onlylistenstozachbryan.
He follows Lankford down the walkway to the shore filming him as he carries a boombox that is blasting Rhett's song "Gone Country." Feeling his presence behind him, Lankford turns around to ask what he's doing. Rhett fires back the same question — further driving home his point.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement for the new song with many asking when it will be released. Others posed a more personal question as they pondered if Lankford is single.
The 19-year-old was born in 2005 to Rhett's mother, Paige, and stepfather Tim Lankford. This makes Lankford his half-brother.
Thomas Rhett Teases New Song "Gone Country"
This isn't the first time Rhett has allowed a small bit of "Gone Country" to grace social media. In May, he shared a snippet of the track for fans and even pointed out that it's got his daughter Willa Gray's approval.
"Willa Gray told me yesterday, 'this slaps dad,'" he wrote in the caption.
He has not set a release date for the song, but it is expected to be a part of his upcoming album scheduled to arrive on Aug. 23.
Thomas Rhett Shares Which Songs are His Wife Lauren's Favorites
The "Beautiful As You" hitmaker recently stopped by Taste of Country Nights with Evan Paul, sharing his wife Lauren's top three songs that he's recorded.
"Well, I mean, I think 'Die a Happy Man' would be 1 for sure," he says. "I think 'Look What God Gave Her' would be 2, and I'm hoping that 'Beautiful as You' tops, at least, 'Look What God Gave Her,' for her."
