Thomas Rhett’s Daughter Ada James Makes Stage Debut With Mom and Big Sister [Watch]
Thomas Rhett gave his fans a special moment they won't forget during a concert Friday night (Sept. 15) in Pennsylvania. The country singer brought his wife Lauren and two daughters out onstage partway through his performance and introduced them to the fans in attendance, marking 5-week-old daughter Ada James' first-ever stage appearance.
Rhett performed Friday night at the York Fair in York, Pa., as part of his Home Team Tour, and at one point during his set, he brought the band to a halt as Lauren came out onstage holding their adopted daughter, Willa Gray, a moment that had fans in attendance screaming. Lauren also had Ada James strapped to her chest in a sling.
In the video above, which Rhett shared to Instagram, little Willa's ears are covered with adorable sound-proofing ear muffs so the loud music and screaming fans won't damage her sensitive little ears.
"Love when the fam comes out," Rhett writes to accompany the video, and his fans clearly agree. One fan in attendance snapped a picture from another angle and shared it, writing, "Life goals... have a family like this. Hands down one of the best moments I've ever seen at a concert."
From the sound of it, it's a family ritual for mom and her girls to stand at the side of the stage and watch Rhett perform. Lauren posted a sweet picture the day before to Instagram showing her and Willa with their faces painted, writing, "date night with my girl=face paint, side stage watching daddy, and possibly involved me chasing her on stage when she went rogue-and, might I add, WHILE I had Ada strapped to my chest. Lord help me. And I apologize for the fans that witnessed that whole fiasco."
Rhett and Lauren brought Willa home from Uganda in May after a difficult adoption process that took an entire year. By that time they had learned that they were also expecting their first biological child. The couple welcomed Ada James in August.
Rhett released his third studio album, Life Changes, on Sept. 8. The first single from the project, “Craving You,” featured Maren Morris in a duet with Rhett that gave them a No. 1 hit, and the album's latest single is “Unforgettable.” Rhett has been on the road on his headlining Home Team Tour most of the summer of 2017.
