Thomas Rhett took the stage at the 2015 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (Nov. 4) with rockers Fall Out Boy to give one of the most unusual performances of the night, kicking off with his hit from earlier this year, "Crash and Burn."

The song brings Rhett's soul influences to bear in a new way, and he delivered a very fun, energetic performance, busting out some of his signature dance moves for the crowd at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. He looked great in a suit and tie, obviously having fun as he pranced around the stage.

He and Fall Out Boy were accompanied by a team of dancers, who gave a bit of a throwback vibe to the proceedings as they segued into FOB's "Uma Thurman," which has a bit of a 1960s vibe anyway.

"Crash and Burn" was the lead single from Rhett's current album, Tangled Up, and it spent time at No. 1 and was also certified Gold. Jesse Frasure wrote the song along with Chris Stapleton, who took home New Artist and Album of the Year honors during the show Wednesday night as well. Rhett was also nominated in the New Artist category.
