Top 22 Country Songs of 2022, Ranked

Several artists with songs on this Top Country Songs of 2022 list can be counted on for entries year after year, but there's new blood and at least one artist that nobody saw coming when the year in country music began.

Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Walker Hayes and Kane Brown are a few of the stars with top songs on last year's list who also make this new Top 22. Meanwhile, Cole Swindell, Ernest and Scotty McCreery prove themselves worthy for the first time — or at least the first time in several years.

To qualify, a song must have spent most of its total time on the Billboard country chart in 2022. A song also can't have made a previous year-end Top Country Songs list, which means Cody Johnson's "'Til You Can't" isn't eligible because it hit No. 3 last year.

So, before you ask where your favorite song is (i.e. Cody Johnson, "'Til You Can't"), be sure the miss isn't just a technicality.
