Trent Harmon Can’t Watch ‘This Is Us’ With Other People Around
Like pretty much everyone who is a fan of This Is Us, Trent Harmon turns into a blubbering mess every time he watches the show — so much so that he refuses to watch it anywhere in public.
"No, absolutely not, I can’t," he confesses in an interview his label, Big Machine Label Group. "I watched two episodes and I was crying. I gotta find a place where I can watch that show that’s not in public."
The young star admits that he was once reduced to tears while watching the show during a flight.
"I tried to watch it on an airplane on a flight coming back and I’ll never forget, I was flying back from Phoenix and my guitarist looked over at me and he said, ‘What’s wrong buddy? Did something happen?’" Harmon recalls. "He said, ‘Did somebody pass? What’s wrong?’ I said, “Yeah, yeah. But no, it’s fine.’ I turned the show off.”
Harmon knows a thing or two about packing an emotional punch, as his latest single, "You Got 'Em All," demonstrates his powerful voice and songwriting ability to match, telling an ex that she is taking some of his best memories in life with her as she leaves. "I hope you found whatever I ain't found yet / 'Cause I feel like all my better days are gone / And I think you got 'em all," he sings in the chorus.
"You Got 'Em All" is the first single and title track of Harmon's upcoming album, set for release on May 18.
