Wynonna Judd and Husband Are ‘Stronger Than Ever’ Following Bad Accident
Cactus Moser, who is also the singer's drummer, was badly injured on Saturday, Aug. 18 in South Dakota after his motorcycle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming car. Doctors decided to amputate his left leg as a result of his injuries, and Wynonna canceled a number of dates to be with her husband during his recovery.
Judd issued the following statement today (Aug. 28):
“We continue to feel loved and supported by the outpouring of messages from people around the world. Cactus continues to improve every day as he begins his road to rehabilitation. We are looking forward to the day when we will be back together on stage again and I believe we will be stronger than ever. Until then I will be out on the road with the rest of the band while I wait lovingly and patiently for my husband to return to The Big Noise.
“We have received hundreds of inquiries from people wanting to show support to Cactus in some way. In lieu of flowers, gifts and cards, Cactus is asking for family, friends and fans to make a donation in his name to Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to helping military personnel who have returned home with serious disabilities. Please visit http://www.homesforourtroops.org/cactusmoser to learn more. Cactus will be notified of every dollar donated in his name and you can even include a message to him along with your donation.”
Judd will resume her tour this Thursday (Aug. 30) at Leelanau Sands Casino in Peshawbestown, Michigan. She has also re-scheduled the dates that were canceled in the week following Moser's accident. For a full list of tour dates, visit this link.
