They say music is healing, but this story proves it might be miraculous. After a teenager was put in the ICU following a car accident, it was a Zach Bryan song that gave his family the sign of hope they were praying for.

A South Carolina teen, Trae Ocheltree, was severely injured and left unresponsive in the ICU after he and his girlfriend were involved in a car accident. Ocheltree suffered broken bones, lacerations and a serious brain injury.

These injuries left the promising senior in the hospital for two days, unresponsive as his family prayed for a miracle.

His buddies stepped in knowing that he is a big Zach Bryan fan. After playing some of Bryan's music, it was the song "Revival" that Trae responded to.

The severely injured teen squeezed his friend's hand and tried to mouth the words showing his family the spark of hope that they have been praying for.

The epic interaction was documented below.

Three days after the epic "revival," the tubes were removed from Trae and he started to respond to friends and family.

Another sweet moment happened when Trae was gifted a guitar from The Christopher Conner Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports healing through music, to replace his guitar that was damaged in the tragic wreck.

The teen was given the same guitar that Bryan plays.

His family documented him jamming out from the hospital on his new six string. He, of course, played a Zach Bryan song.

The sweet mama of the injured teen added caption, "Happy mama tears, and I’m sharing this moment for you to rejoice with me."

The mother added that one of the teen's friends had been helping him relearn the guitar and he had been practicing by himself.

"He played it a little by himself last night and this morning and the progression is amazing. Tonight was the first time he sang… Even when he couldn’t talk, he would mumble the words of this song," she shared. "So, PLEASE WATCH MY MIRACLE… ALL of ours — You all who have been praying for him, PLEASE WATCH and then BE STILL AND KNOW GOD’S POWER."

A truly powerful story, and here's to hoping for a full recovery of the teen soon so that he can get out to a Zach Bryan show.

35 Country Songs That Tell a Great Story

It's no secret that country music is the storytelling genre. In fact, it would probably be easier to compile a list of country songs that don't tell a story. But we've taken our best swing at assembling the genre's best storytelling songs, including modern releases as well as classics.
