When Blake Shelton revealed that his advisor for the ninth season of The Voice would be Brad Paisley, it was only a matter of time before the two teamed up to perform some music together.

Country fans got a special treat when a video of the two country singers covering George Strait's "The Fireman" hit YouTube this week. Taking a break from their advising duties, Shelton and Paisley shared some time offstage during The Voice rehearsals to put their own spin on the classic song.

Shelton and Paisley trade lead vocals, looking to each other with smiles throughout the nearly five-minute cover. Meanwhile, Paisley delivers his signature guitar skills, putting his own interpretation on the music.

When Paisley was announced as the advisor for Team Blake earlier this year, Shelton had nothing but praise for his colleague.

"He’s really been good to me, and so the fact that I was able to get him here and advise my team made perfect sense to me because he was actually a mentor for me," Shelton said. "If you know anything about country music, you know who Brad Paisley is. He’s Entertainer of the Year. He’s Male Vocalist of the Year. He’s sold millions of albums, and sold out tours. He’s just one of the more respected singers, and just people in the music industry and Nashville."
