Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are not engaged, but they will be soon if Ellen DeGeneres has anything to say about it.

"So Mother's Day is coming up, and I have something for you to give to her," the Ellen Show host told Shelton when he stopped by on Wednesday (May 1) as she handed him a clock emblazoned with a picture of him kissing Stefani, his girlfriend of three-plus years.

“So you're saying, there’s a chance she’s gonna ask me to marry her, with this clock?" Shelton jokes.

"I'll call her tonight," DeGeneres replies, adding: "I'll tell her she’s waiting for you."

Remember Gwen Stefani's Random Birthday Gift for Blake Shelton?

DeGeneres says she gave a similar clock to Jennifer Lopez earlier this year, and shortly after, Lopez was engaged to former baseball player Alex Rodriguez.

"So Jennifer Lopez was here and I wanted to help her out with A-Rod, because she wanted to marry him, obviously like Gwen wants to marry you," DeGeneres tells Shelton, "And I gave her a clock that she could give to him, like the clock is ticking, time is passing. I gave her the clock, and literally a week later he proposed to her."

Coincidence? Perhaps. Even so, there is no denying that Shelton and Stefani are in love and happy to share that with the world. They even had a family day out last Saturday (April 27) to check out the premiere of Shelton's new movie UglyDolls, bringing all three of Stefani's sons from her previous marriage.

"We brought all the kids and Gwen's brother and his family," Shelton says. "We made a whole day of out it. It was a lot of fun."

Stefani is Shelton's first public relationship since his divorce from country star Miranda Lambert in July 2015. They met on the set of The Voice and made their relationship known in November of 2015.
