Blake Shelton is teaming up with NASCAR this year to bring a little sunshine of his own to the sport via the season's opening montage on NBC. The title track of his most recent album Bringing Back the Sunshine has been chosen as the NASCAR opening theme, and the star will be performing it live this Sunday, July 5, prior to the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

Shelton, who is a fan of racing, says he was majorly excited for his track to be selected for the honor.

“I’m so pumped that my song, 'Bringing Back the Sunshine', is going to be the kickoff to NBC’s coverage of NASCAR this season,” the singer said in an enthusiastic statement. "Over the years, I’ve met some drivers and have become friends with them, and before you know it, I have this interwoven relationship with NASCAR — and I love it.”

NBC released a sneak preview of the opening with a montage that features drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer, Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson and Austin Dillon. Check out the video above to get a glimpse at Shelton’s new gig!

Shelton recently earned his 20th No. 1 hit with “Sangria,” which was also certified gold. He’s hitting the festival circuit this summer, playing on stages around the country before he returns to NBC’s The Voice for its ninth season in the fall as one of America’s favorite judges. Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert were named by Forbes as one of the highest-earning celebrity couples, ranking among Taylor Swift and new beau Calvin Harris, as well as Beyoncé and Jay Z.
