Chris Lane's "Big, Big Plans" is the most personal love song he'll ever write. It's hard to imagine the singer describing his wife-to-be in such heavy detail again, and frankly, he may not want to.

A second "Big, Big Plans" would take away from the spontaneity and unencumbered sentiment of this ballad, his newest single on country radio. Lane and Lauren Bushnell (Season 20 winner of The Bachelor on ABC) got engaged in June during a backyard scene captured for the music video. The lyric-heavy song is their story, and his daily impressions of her are written as if he was watching her do those exact things from across the room.

There are never enough good love songs in country music, especially those that can double as a first dance song at a wedding. Since releasing "Fix" as his 2015 debut for Big Loud Records, Lane has slowed down, becoming more of an acoustic lover than a hyped pop-country rocker. His priorities have shifted.

Did You Know?: Lane proposed to Bushnell on Father's Day after getting the OK from her dad, Dave.

Chris Lane's "Big, Big Plans" Lyrics:

Just look at her sitting there / Sweatpants, t-shirt, in her comfy chair / Her hair in a bun, one hand on a mug and the other one's playing snare / To a George Strait vinyl, that yes-or-no line'll get her close / But I don't think she can understand / Just how far I've been letting my heart fall / But what's in my head.

Chorus:
She don't know I got some big, big plans / Build a little house out on some hand-me-down land / Find a little island where we go to get tan / I bet we take our kids down there one day / And I know she wouldn't mind if I / Did a little somethin' like find a flight / Overnight to paradise and leave tonight / And I’m a put a diamond on her hand / She don't know I got some big, big plans / Well, she don't know, well, she don't know / She don't know I got some big, big plans / Well, she don't know, well, she don't know

Well, she don't know I already bought a ring / Hid it in the bottom left drawer, right beside the same / Shiny emerald diamond on a brand-new band / Asked her mama for permission and her daddy for her hand.

Repeat Chorus

Well, here I go / 'Cause right now, we're back in her hometown / And I'm down on one knee / I guess she finally figured out / I'm gonna ask her to marry me.

Repeat Chorus
