Chris Lane and Tori Kelly united on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night (April 2), offering a smooth performance of their hit duet, "Take Back Home Girl."

The singers blended their talents together for a dynamic delivery, Lane with his suave style and Kelly with her impressive vocal chops. Rather than joining onstage together at the start of the song in typical fashion, Lane took the stage solo for the first verse before Kelly made her entrance to the stage by way of the audience, beautifully singing her part while walking among the audience. "

"You're a drive real slow, down a no lane road / To a house on a hill where the wild things grow / You're a take back home, home, home girl," the two croon in the clip above, exuding strong chemistry as Kelly soared to the heights of the song's biggest notes.

"They asked me from the beginning who would be a dream collaboration for me, and Tori was the first person I said," Lane tells People about how the collaboration was born. "It just so happened to work out."

"I got a random text message from my manager sending me the song and he was like, 'Do you like it?' and I was like, 'I actually am obsessed with it,'" Kelly recalls (quote via ET). "He didn't even tell me the artist or anything and we were like, 'Cool! Let's do it.'"

"Take Back Home" is Lane's first single release since "For Her" reached the Top 10 in 2016. Kelly has been making a name for herself across different musical genres — she has released three albums since competing on Season 9 of American Idolincluding the chart-topping and critically praised Unbreakable Smile. She also scored a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2016.

Lane heads to Las Vegas this month for the 2018 ACM Party for a Cause event, a three-day festival leading up to the broadcast of the ACM Awards on April 15.
