Chris Young Has a Valentine’s Day Memory That Will Be Hard to Top

Country star Chris Young is single this Valentine's Day, and he will be on the road with Rascal Flatts, so he doesn't have any plans for the holiday.

But when Taste of Country asks him about his best Valentine’s memory, Young explains, "It isn’t because of me -- it’s because of my dad. My stepdad actually proposed to my mom on Valentine’s Day."

"My stepdad had all of us come downstairs, and he asked our permission to marry our mom. That was really big, and he kind of trumped anything I could ever do, " Young says with a grin. "Thanks a lot, Dad. I don’t know if I could ever top that!"

Young is on tour with Rascal Flatts until March when he plays a few dates with Blake Shelton. He will also be headlining the July 1 performance at Taste of Country’s Greeley Stampede concert in Greeley, Colo.
