This morning, the nominees for the 2011 Academy Awards were announced, and the song 'Coming Home' from the film 'Country Strong' received a nomination for Music (Original Song). 'Coming Home' is up against 'I See the Light' from the animated film 'Tangled,' 'If I Rise' from '127 Hours' and 'We Belong Together' from 'Toy Story 3.'

'Coming Home' was written by acclaimed country songwriters Tom Douglas, Troy Verges and Hillary Lindsey. In the past, Douglas has written hits for Martina McBride, Tim McGraw and many more of today's most celebrated country musicians. Likewise, Troy Verge has penned songs for Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, while Hillary Lindsey wrote Lady Antebellum's 'American Honey.'

When asked about 'Coming Home,' 'Country Strong' star Gwyneth Paltrow said, "'Coming Home' is definitely my favorite song in the movie. It was a very emotional process to sing the song."
