Darius Rucker Brings ‘Miss You’ to ‘The Tonight Show’
Jay Leno will wrap his lengthy stint as the host of 'The Tonight Show' in February, when Jimmy Fallon takes over and moves the show to NYC. However, country superstar Darius Rucker will have the distinction of being one of the last acts to perform on the show with Leno as host before he signs off (again).
Rucker took the stage last night (Jan. 24) to perform his new power ballad 'Miss You.' It was an emotional and sincere performance of the song and it's impossible to not be moved by this live rendition. Rucker was backed by a full band but he really brought it with his impassioned delivery and expressive face.
Leno of course greeted the musician after his performance, joking that Rucker was asleep earlier and he didn't wake him up by saying hello and exchanging pleasantries. That must have been some green room, pre-performance meet and greet action.
The full episode is posted above. Just scrawl to the 40-minute mark and the last segment bar in to enjoy Rucker's performance. The couch guests were NFL legend Terry Bradshaw and model Heidi Klum, in case you are interested in watching the entire episode.
