Dee Jay Silver and Wife Welcome a Baby Girl
Country fusion DJ/remixer/producer Dee Jay Silver and wife Jenna Perdue had an especially eventful Wednesday (March 27), as the couple welcomed their second child, a little girl named Davis Jessie Perdue.
Davis was born at 12:20pm in Nashville and weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, according to Silver's reps. She joins her big brother, Wake Silver, who is 2 and a half years old.
Apparently, both husband and wife were certain the new arrival would be another son (Jenna noted on her Instagram account that "we truly believed it was a boy"), so they were extra surprised—and delighted—when a daughter arrived on the scene.
"We are in shock it's a girl! And so excited! The whole pregnancy we were positive it was a boy," say the parents in a statement. "Davis is the most amazing addition to our family. Wake already loves his little sister so much!"
Little Wake does already seem smitten with his new sibling, as documented on social media. And, his parents suffered a miscarriage last year, which made them appreciate their healthy pregnancy all the more. "After our loss at 10 weeks back in May, Davis is the most welcome blessing we could have ever received. She is already so loved! We are so thankful for this amazing gift!"
The husband and wife are good friends with a number of Nashville notables, including Jason Aldean and his family. Aldean's wife, Brittany, commented on Jenna's Instagram account: "Navy’s buddy," referring to her own baby daughter, Navy Rome, who was born in February. "So happy for y’all!! She’s just precious!"
Silver, after catching his breath and spending some time with his newly expanded family, will hop right back into work in April. He'll be busy in Las Vegas for ACM Awards weekend, then playing the Tortuga Music Festival in Florida as well as dates with Luke Combs. Then, from May through September, Silver will be on Jason Aldean's Ride All Night Tour. He'll also be making appearances at various festivals through the summer.
