What does Dierks Bentley do when he gets stranded on the side of the road? Takes hilarious pictures and posts them on Twitter, of course.

Bentley was driving his Jeep on June 20 and ran out of gas due to the car's lack of functioning fuel gauge, sharing with fans photos of the lonely-looking vehicle, his own disappointed face and ... something dead:

He must have made it out okay, because later that night the artist was crowd-surfing at a packed show in Pittsburgh.

Bentley is playing shows around the country for the rest of the summer on the Sounds of Summer tour and just released the title track to his latest album Riser as his fifth single from the record. The single is a fan-favorite and a personal one for Bentley, even though he didn’t pen the tune himself. It’s a more somber song about overcoming inner struggle and coming out the other side stronger, which is somewhat off-brand for the anthems that typically overtake country radio in the summertime. But Bentley plans on taking the gamble for a song that resonates.

"I want the whole world to hear it and do the song justice, and give that song as big a platform as possible. Especially a song like 'Riser.' It has been and really could be so impactful on people's lives,” he tells Rolling Stone.

The country star will be performing in one of the headlining slots at WE Fest in Minnesota as well as Country on the River in Wisconsin, both in early August.
