Florida Georgia Line Win 2013 CMA Award for Single of the Year
Immediately after a few twerking jokes and a opening hilarious monologue, the Robertson family from 'Duck Dynasty' stepped up to present the 2013 CMA Award for Single of the Year.
Willie Robertson started out his speech with laughter, saying, "I'm pretty sure I just twerked with Carrie Underwood." They made it very clear they were happy to be at the awards show because they love country music.
There was tough competition in the category, with Florida Georgia Line's 'Cruise,' Tim McGraw's (Feat. Keith Urban and Taylor Swift) ‘Highway Don’t Care,' Miranda Lambert's ‘Mama’s Broken Heart,' Kacey Musgraves' ‘Merry Go Round’ and Darius Rucker's ‘Wagon Wheel' facing off.
Florida Georgia Line snagged the award, and after several hugs, they began giving out their thanks. First up? "Thank the Lord for an unbelievable year," Tyler Hubbard said. They also took the time to thank their fans.
"Our amazing, amazing fans," Brian Kelley added. "You guys changed our lives." Lastly they gave an important thanks to their moms, who were their dates for the awards show.
