Garth Brooks, ‘People Loving People’
Garth Brooks returns to the radio with ‘People Loving People,’ a song that aims to do much more than just add new color to a painting country fans know all too well. The legend’s first single in seven years provides a simple country answer to the world’s larger problems.
‘People Loving People’ is a feel-good song, a singalong begging to be performed in front a few thousand hand-holding fans and enthusiasts.
'People Loving People' spreads love and peace with a heavy spatula. “All the colors and the cultures / Circle ‘round us on a spindle / It’s a complicated riddle / But the solution is so simple,” Brooks sings to close the second verse.
Political tensions and drug abuse are a few of the problems he brings up in a general sense. There isn’t one cause writers Lee Miller, Chris Wallin and busbee take aim at -- their round is more bird shot than hollow point.
“It’s people loving people / That’s the enemy of everything that’s evil / Ain’t no quick fix at the end of a needle / It’s just people loving people,” Brooks says at the chorus.
The message is easy to embrace, and Brooks delivers a performance as passionate as any he delivered during his heyday 20 years ago. With a tour beginning in September, it’s certain thousands of hand-holding fans will indeed be singing along to this song very soon.
Why Fans Will Love It: 'People Loving People' spreads a great message.
