Sorry, Chris Young. Gary Allan's fans turned out to vote overwhelmingly for his new song in the Showdown, giving him a big win over Young's latest.

Allan's new single is “Do You Wish It Was Me?,” and it’s more evidence of why his voice is considered one of the sexiest in country music. A pulsing bass line and distorted organ add interesting texture to a track built around guitar chords for an interesting audio mix that really shines.

He's facing a challenge from Mickey Guyton, who's showing a very different side of herself with her new single, "Heartbreak Song."  The singer turns away from the kind of big ballad that established her with "Better Than You Left Me" and explores a high-energy, pop-infused sound with this track.

Listen to clips of both Allan’s and Guyton's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on next Wednesday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
