Home Free Bring Fans’ Memories to Life in New ‘Remember This’ Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Home Free have just filmed a video for their brand-new song, "Remember This," and they are sharing it with Taste of Country readers first in this video exclusive.
The all-vocal group included their fans in the moving new video. The song's lyrics talk about the importance of making memories throughout the course of your life, and Home Free asked fans to submit photographs of some of their own special moments, which they then used in the clip above. Home Free's "Remember This" video tells a decades-long love story, flashing back and forth between a young couple and their older selves, settled and trying to deal with their family life.
"Memories are made up of moments like this / The choices we make and the chances we miss / One day the memories are all that there is / So how do you wanna remember this," Home Free sing in the chorus.
Home Free bass singer Tim Foust co-wrote the song with Donnie Reis, Arlis Albritton and Chris Chatham.
Jimmie Allen Is a Country Original:
"This video release is extra exciting to me since I co-wrote this tune with a few friends," Foust tells us. "The response we've gotten on the song thus far has been so welcoming. We can't wait to perform it live."
"The song is about realizing that we’re not just passengers in this life, and moreover, each moment is an opportunity to make choices that will one day be positive memories," he adds. "Our fans are like our extended family, so we asked them to share their own cherished snapshots. Every single Polaroid that’s hanging around us in the video was submitted by one of our fans. And in case any of our Home Fries are wondering — yes, we looked at all of the photos!"
"Remember This" is one of 12 new tracks set to appear on Home Free's upcoming album, Dive Bar Saints. The new album features 10 original new songs out of 12 tracks, more than any other Home Free album to date.
Dive Bar Saints is set for release on July 26, and Home Free will hit the road for their Dive Bar Saints Tour beginning in September. The tour will visit 14 countries before it wraps in March of 2020. The all-vocal group are also slated to perform at the Riverfront Stage and the HGTV Lodge during the 2019 CMA Fest in Nashville in June.
“If you’ve ever been to Nashville during CMA Fest, you know just how amazing it is, and we feel honored to be a part of such an iconic weekend," Home Free's Rob Lundquist says. "For the past three years, we’ve played the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage, and we were so excited when we found out we’d be returning again this year. And we’ll be wrapping up our weekend with a more intimate show at the HGTV Lodge, which we’ve never played before and can’t wait to check out. It’s definitely going be a weekend for the books.”
They'll take the opportunity to perform some of the new music in advance of the new album.
“Obviously, we’ll be performing several Home Free favorites, but this will also be one of the first times we’re previewing new music from our upcoming album, Dive Bar Saints – which is made up primarily of original tunes," Lundquist shares. "We’re just really looking forward to seeing the crowd’s reaction when they hear this new side of Home Free.”
"Remember This" is set for release on Friday (May 31). It's available for streaming and download across a variety of digital music platforms.
