Jake Owen Visits Sick Father in the Hospital

Jake Owen shared a sweet and incredibly personal photo of himself and his dear ol' dad. The singer surprised his father with a visit, but the reason that both the picture and the visit are super special is because Papa Bear Owen just had cancer surgery.

A surprise visit from his famous son – a new dad himself, since daughter Pearl was born on Thanksgiving 2012- must have made Mr. Owen feel even better as he recovers from the procedure. Nothing like Jake Owen dropping in to brighten anyone's day, especially when he's your offspring.

Don't they look like quite a dashing pair in this pic? The singer even sent out his best to everyone else who is dealing with and battling cancer. How sweet of him.

Owen captioned the photo as follows: "Surprised my Dad today at Mayo Clinic in MN.. He had cancer surgery on his neck. Doing great.. My love to all that have dealt with Cancer."

We are glad to hear that his dad is doing well post-op. We send our best out to Mr. Owen and the rest of the family as the patriarch recovers from surgery.
