Jason Aldean Holds on to Summer During ‘Good Morning America’ Performance [Watch]
Kids may be back at school, but that doesn't mean summer is over yet. Jason Aldean proved that Friday morning (Aug. 26) when he took the Good Morning America stage to perform his current single, "A Little More Summertime."
Aldean looked as comfortable as ever onstage despite the heat, clad in his signature cowboy hat to give him some shade. Around his shoulders was his guitar so he could rock along with the screaming crowd. In addition to playing his current hit, he treated fans to "Lights Come On" and "Dirt Road Anthem."
The show was part of Good Morning America's summer concert series, and took place in New York City's Central Park at the outdoor Rumsey Playfield venue. Throughout the summer a variety of artists have performed the free show to celebrate the warmest months of the year, including Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney.
During this past week, Good Morning America has been promoting country music by spotlighting artists from the genre. Old Dominion, Drake White and Florida Georgia Line have all performed this week.
Aldean is currently on the road as a part of his headlining Six String Circus Tour alongside openers Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. That trek will take him through the end of September when it wraps up in Bristow, Va.
Aldean's seventh studio album. They Don't Know, is slated to hit shelves on Sept. 9. The project has already produced one No. 1 hit, "Lights Come On," and by the fans' reaction in the video above, it looks like it will soon score another.
