Jason Aldean's red-hot career just keeps booming. This week, the Georgia native's fourth studio album, 'My Kinda Party,' has reached certification of double platinum for sales of over two million units, just 10 months after its release. The album quickly became one of the best-selling country albums of 2011, spawning three consecutive No. 1 singles.

"It's always been a big dream of mine to have platinum albums, but this double platinum thing snuck up on me," says Aldean in a press statement. "It is beyond anything I could have dreamed or expected. It takes a whole lot of people to make it happen … from songwriters to the label to radio to my band and road crew. I just can't tell you how thankful I am, and also how much respect I have for all the hard work that went into this project."

Earlier this month, the CMA Awards announced that Aldean has been nominated in five categories: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for 'My Kinda Party,' Single of the Year for 'Dirt Road Anthem,' and Musical Event for 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' his duet with Kelly Clarkson.

"I've been working my tail off out on the road for years building my career, and up until last week, it sorta felt like if you hadn't been to one of the shows, maybe you didn't know what was happening," says Aldean. "It feels like I've finally been invited to the party, and it feels incredible to have your friends and peers pat you on the back and recognize the work that's gone into the last year."

Aldean is currently in the midst of his My Kinda Party Tour, featuring Chris Young and Thompson Square. Click here for a complete list of dates where the tour will be stopping. Tune into the 2011 CMA Awards, set to air live at 8:00PM ET on November 9 on ABC, to see if Aldean takes home any trophies.
