Jimmie Allen and Abby Anderson have taken "Shallow" — A Star Is Born's breakout hit and added a unique country flair to the song. You may like it better than the original duet, made famous by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Allen and Anderson's version is intimate, even though they don't come together until the end.

The video begins with the "Best Shot" hitmaker talking on the phone. "Dude, I totally understand how this song is good for her career and good for mine, but at the same time you've gotta understand where I'm coming from," he says to whomever is on the other end.

"You can't love someone like that and then ask us to do a song that's so intimate ..." he cuts himself off as Anderson walks by.

Jimmie Allen's Live RISERS Performance Is Irresistible

He decides to give it a go, and the video goes into black and white split screens. One side shows a solemn Anderson getting ready for her day, while an emotional Allen is singing the first verse sitting a bed on the other side.

When the two finally meet up in the studio to duet the song on one mic, the video becomes one screen, in full color. The country "Shallow" video was directed by Austin Peckham.

"I fell in love with a movie, then I fell in love with a song from that movie. Now, I get to share my vision of how that song and movie creativity inspired me!" Allen says of the idea to cut the song.

He is currently finishing up Kane Brown's Live Forever Tour and will be performing headlining dates, along with radio shows, this spring. This summer he will be hitting the road on Rascal Flatts' 2019 Summer Playlist Tour as a supporting act.

Anderson just announced that she will join Rob Thomas on tour this summer.
