Josh Gracin is back with new music, and he's counting his blessings in his new song, "Lucky Stars." The song is premiering exclusively with Taste of Country.

"Lucky Stars" is an anthem for anyone who's ever gotten a new shot at love after heartbreak.

The protagonist says he's going to "Count my lucky stars / To get to be anywhere you are / I wanna hit my knees and thank the good lord / For every wrong turn and every scar / That led me to the one who has my heart / And count my lucky stars," Gracin sings in the chorus.

Aaron Goodvin, Skip Black and Terry McBride teamed to write "Lucky Stars," which Dave Pittenger produced. It's a song that Gracin draws on his real-life experience to sing in a very personal way; he got a second shot at love later in life himself, marrying his wife, Katie, in May of 2017.

“When I heard 'Lucky Stars' for the first time I immediately related to the story being told," Gracin tells us. "It applies in every way to the life I have now. It’s amazing how sometimes we need to be stripped down to our foundation to realize our purpose, our place in life, and exactly who we are meant to be.”

The American Idol Season 2 finalist found success in country music with a string of hits including "I Want to Live," "Nothin' to Lose" and "Stay With Me (Brass Bed)."  "Lucky Stars" is Gracin's first new release of 2019, but he plans on releasing new music every 6-8 weeks coming up, and he's go a busy calendar of tour dates to keep him busy when he's not recording. "Lucky Stars" is set for release on Friday (June 7).
