Josh Kelley released "It's Your Move" earlier this year. The first new music in five years, the song was written by Kelley after a heated argument with his wife, actress Katherine Heigl.

Taste of Country has the exclusive premiere of the song from Kelley's concert special, which will air on the Audience Network on Friday (July 15) at 9PM ET on DirecTV channel 239/U-verse channel 1114. During his performance, Kelley is seated at a piano by himself as he belts the emotional song. The stripped down song shows the heartbreak within the lyrics.

"Do you want me to stop you / Should I make a scene? / Throw my beer at the wall / Do you want me to scream that I don't really love you 'cause I really do / Girl I don't want to fight, I've got nothing to prove / If you want this as bad as I do, then it's your move," he sings.

"It's Your Move" is a track off of Kelley's eighth studio album New Lane Road, which he released this past spring on Sugar Hill Records. The album is a personal one for the musician and has the singer reflecting on his marriage, family and home that he and Heigl built in Utah together. Kelley devoted himself to the creative process for three years while making New Lane Road, which he produced, engineered, co-wrote and played most of the instruments himself.

The music video for the song was directed by and stars Heigl. “It would have been ridiculous (to have) our fight, our moment being anybody else … trying to portray it,” Kelley tells Taste of Country.

The singer and Heigl are expecting a baby boy this year — their third child but first biological.
