Justin Moore has played his latest single 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away' hundreds of times by now. The song -- from his new album 'Outlaws Like Me,' in stores on June 21 -- is one of two on the album Moore didn't write, but it's clear from this exclusive-to-Taste of Country acoustic performance video that the story and lyrics haven't loosened their grip on him. It's an emotional song, especially so for the country singer.

Moore tells Taste of Country that he'd planned to release one more song from his debut album before his grandfather's death made him think twice about making 'Grandpa' a single. It's easy to wonder if 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away' is performed as a post-mortem tribute to the man Moore calls a hero. The pensive glances and somber stares at the camera say "yes."

The performance is as stripped down and vulnerable as the car Moore rests on. The garage looks similar to the one featured in the music video for 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away,' though Moore recorded this video moments after talking to Taste of Country last month. Keep an eye out for Moore's new wedding ring, which has a special message scrawled inside of it, and stay tuned to the very last notes to watch the singer show off his big country voice.
