Justin Moore’s ‘Kinda Don’t Care’ Video Includes His Fans, Family [Watch]
Justin Moore shows off his full range of stage chops with his recent music video for "Kinda Don't Care."
The song's theme, which is an ode to apathy, isn't reflected directly in the video's storyline. Instead, the video is more of an tribute to Moore's rising star in country music, laying down his stage antics in front of thousands of fans in a performance setting.
The song, which has so far peaked at No. 46 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, hasn't been a fast riser for Moore, but the country singer hasn't built his success by relying on the charts. Perhaps that's the underlying sentiment of the video.
The song struck such a chord with Moore so much that he named the entire album Kinda Don't Care, explaining his choice to Nash Country Daily.
“The more I thought about it, naming the album Kinda Don’t Care just made sense,” he said. “I really stretched my legs on this album and got outside my comfort zone in some spots, and I was concerned about that in the respect that I never want to contradict myself from what I’ve been as an artist or said as an artist. I have a really passionate, core fan base that have provided me with so many opportunities within in this industry, and I don’t ever want them to be disappointed in anything.
"My producer pulled me aside when we were making the record and said, ‘Dude, you realize if you sing it, it sounds like you, and it sounds country. Chill out, and stop worrying about this.’ I thought, ‘You know what, he’s right. I need to not really care.’ If I have passion for this music and I love this music—which I do—it’s going to be infectious.”
Moore is currently on the road, taking a short break near Thanksgiving. He'll relaunch his Hell on a Highway tour in mid January, with dates booked through August 2018.
