No, Kacey Musgraves Won’t Be Starring on ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’
Ignore what you've heard, because Kacey Musgraves won't be joining the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Dallas. The singer shot down the rumors on Twitter.
"Oh really? News to me," she writes alongside the hashtags #nothappening #doesntevenmakesense.
News that she won't appear on Season 3 of the show is a bummer for some fans, who were quick to share all of the things Musgraves could bring to the Real Housewives series:
Musgraves will be spending the time she saves not shooting a television series working on her music, as she has promised to release a new album this year. Her forthcoming project, Golden Hour, is set to drop sometime in the early part of the year. Musgraves previously discussed the album with Entertainment Weekly, describing the project as "trippy." She says she drew inspiration from a number of places, including '70s disco group the Bee Gees and Neil Young.
“I was thinking about how there are different masks that we wear that represent different sides of us. None of the masks are solely us, but they’re all us," she says. "On this record, there’s the lonely girl, the blissful girl, the new wife, the girl that’s missing her mom, the angry girl, the sarcastic girl, the ‘60s-sequined Cruella de Vil with the beehive, the shy girl, the life of the party, the winner, the loser — they’re all characters on this record. None of them alone are me, but the golden hour is when they all come together and you see me as a whole.”
