Kaleb Lee’s ‘I Need a Drink’ Has the Solution to Day-to-Day Stress [Exclusive Premiere]
Kaleb Lee has just the right prescription for whatever's ailing you. In his new song, "I Need a Drink," the former The Voice contestant knows exactly how to ease the stresses of everyday life.
"I need a drink, Crown coke and a lime / A longneck bottle would do just fine / I got troubles in sync / Oh I don't need a shrink / I need a drink," he sings in the chorus. The song debuts exclusively today with Taste of Country, and it's set for release on Friday (July 19).
Lee has already been road-testing the rocking, good-time song on his live audiences, and it's been going over well.
“We have been playing this song live for a while now and it has always been one that people picked up quick and have a great time singing with us," he tells us. "People go through a lot of s--t every day and they just want to have a good time every once in a while. That’s what this song is all about.”
Lee competed on Season 14 of The Voice in 2018. His blind audition got both Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs for him. He chose Shelton, but later ended up competing on Clarkson's team, where he placed in the Top 6. Clarkson is producing Lee's debut album, which he is slated to release later in 2019.
