Kassi Ashton's throwing a "Field Party" in her newest music video, and, to be honest, it looks like a heck of a lot of fun. The rising country star, video director Kristin Barlowe and a whole crew of dancers descended on an old factory in Nashville to create the good-time clip.

Ashton's "Field Party" video isn't your stereotypical country party scene, though. There are pickup trucks, sure, but also a van that looks straight out of Scooby Doo. There's cut-off jeans, yes, but Ashton's donning a tie-dye top to match. "I just wanted it to feel wacky and I want people, wherever they are, wherever they're from, to watch it and say, I want to party," she tells Refinery29.

The filming session for the video was quite a party, too. If you notice that Ashton's hair looks wet in some scenes, that's actual beer getting spilled. She and the crew, she says, were filming until the wee hours of the morning, "and all of us at the end were like, 'We want to do this again. Like, without cameras.'"

Ashton says the idea for "Field Party" came from her debut track, "California Missouri," which gets real about her feelings about her hometown of the same name. "People love to assume, and they were like, 'She forgot where she came from,' you know, 'She's trashing her hometown,'" she explains.

"I was like, 'Do they think that I just don't do that small-town stuff anymore? That I just completely forgot how to ride four-wheelers or drink beer and have a field party?'" she adds. "And we were like, 'Oh, let's do that.'"
