During a recent interview, Keith Urban spilled the beans about a collaboration with Post Malone for an upcoming Elvis Presley special. The performance will take place on a tribute special scheduled to air in early 2019 (January, according to Urban).

"He's the real deal," the "Never Comin’ Down" hitmaker tells E! while confirming that the collaboration had indeed taken place. "He's so eclectic. So steeped in all kinds of music. I love him."

7 Totally Unforgettable Keith Urban Moments

Post Malone recently entered into a partnership with the iconic Crocs brand to make the comfy footwear popular again earlier this year, but Urban didn't manage to snag a free pair from him.

"No, I wanted his suit," Urban admits, laughing. "It was so bad ass."

The new duo will be featured on the Elvis special alongside some big names in the music business, including country's Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, the Pistol Annies and Little Big Town. Shawn Mendes and Mac Davis will also perform on the show, which will pay homage to Elvis' iconic 1968 television special during which he performed live on NBC. Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and his granddaughter, Riley Keough, will serve as co-hosts of the show.

Urban recently won Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards — the culmination of a great year that included his Graffiti U World Tour.
