This week, Keith Urban released 'Long Hot Summer,' the latest single from his 'Get Closer' album. The song impacted radio on a fitting day ... the first day of summer, June 21. The song is a sure-fire hit for Urban, who performed it on both the CMT Awards and the Billboard Music Awards this year.

'Long Hot Summer' is the third single from 'Get Closer,' following previous hits 'Put You in a Song' and his recent No. 1 hit, 'Without You.' There is another song on the album, 'You Gonna Fly,' that fans have been demanding, as it is reminiscent of Urban's signature sound and style that they love and adore. 'You Gonna Fly' became a fan-favorite when Urban performed the tune for millions earlier this year during the Super Bowl. So one can only hope ... will it be the next single from 'Get Closer'?

"I really hope we get a chance to release ['You Gonna Fly']," Urban tells Taste of Country. "I would love to release that, too. I love that song."

Urban has been working 'You Gonna Fly' into his show every night, performing it second in his set. The tour kicked off last week in Mississippi and will run through the end of August. The tour got off to a rough start for Urban when he took a stumble on the opening night, but he is having a blast being back out onstage where he loves to be.

"The tour has only run one weekend, so [we've] been tinkering and finessing and tweaking as we go," he says. "But so far so good!"

Jake Owen joins Urban on the road this summer on the 2011 Get Closer Tour. Click here for a complete list of dates where the tour will be stopping.
