Kelly Clarkson Pulls Out of Texas Benefit Show After Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock’s Death
Kelly Clarkson won't perform at Miranda Lambert's Band Together Texas benefit show this weekend.
The fundraising concert is set to take place in Austin, Texas on Sunday (Aug. 17), raising money for those affected by the flooding in central Texas that occurred in July.
Although the Texas native has not made a formal statement, the Band to Together Texas Instagram shared a note on its Stories on Monday (Aug. 11).
The post does not give any further details about her absence, but it does state "personal circumstances" as the reason for her decision. Fans know that Clarkson is grieving the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, the father of her two children. He died on Aug. 7.
