Kenny Chesney Helps Donate $50K to Coastal Conservation Association
Country hitmaker Kenny Chesney and Costa Sunglasses just presented a hefty $50,000 check to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). The CCA is a non-profit organization that works toward marine conservation in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, conserving and restoring coastal marine resources. The philanthropy fit perfectly with the theme of Chesney's 2011 Goin Coastal Tour.
Chesney raised the $50,000 in collaboration with Costa sunglasses through sales of a signature line of shades bearing his name. Partnering with Costa in 2011 to design the sunglasses, Chesney sold his new product at every stop along that Goin Coastal Tour, which is what really fueled giving this giant donation back to the CCA.
“The relationship with Costa, and what they stand for, goes hand in hand with the music that I make,” Chesney said last year when he first partnered with the manufacturer. “It’s important for all generations to be able to enjoy the ocean like I did, and I’m proud to partner with Costa to design a line of signature sunglasses that will help support ocean conservation.”
