Kix Brooks – Then and Now

When Brooks and Dunn broke into country music in the early '90s, they weren't the typical newcomers. Both Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn had experience as solo artists but -- as you can see in this 'Then' pic of Brooks -- they still carried themselves with some bravado. Two things have remained the same about the 'Moonshine Road' singer, however. 

Aside from a brief relationship with a full beard in 2011, Brooks still has the same well-manicured mustache he carried in 1994. He also wears a very similar hat, although his 'Now' picture features one with a little more curve. The Louisiana native is not given credit for his fashion choices in 2012. It's possible he was just as hip in the early-to-mid '90s, but no one at Taste of Country is willing to admit they once owned a closet full of similarly loud cowboy shirts. No one.
