The members of Lady Antebellum aren't shy about the fact that they've taken it upon themselves to go to group therapy as a way to better communicate with one another.

Sitting today with Today's Willie Geist, the trio of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood share how entering therapy has helped them step outside of themselves and learn to effectively talk with each other.

Kelley reveals that the group has been making it a point to go to therapy after coming back together in recent months. The group went on a brief break between closing out the You Look Good World Tour in September of 2017 and the birth of Scott's twins in January of 2018. They're now gearing up to hit the road on the co-headlining Summer Plays On Tour with Darius Rucker.

"We've done a lot recently, just getting back into this and the balance," Kelley explains. "It is nice because I do think when bands don't talk and let out some of that stuff, it's nice to have...an unbiased professional to be like 'right there—your tone, you see why that probably hurts their feelings?'"

"It's like marriage counseling," Haywood chimes in—to which they all agree.

The hit-making group reunited in early 2017 after going on hiatus in 2015 to focus on solo projects. During that time period, Scott celebrated a two-Grammy win for Love Remains, a gospel project she created with her family; while Kelley earned a No. 2 debuting solo album, The Driver, with the title track also scoring him a Grammy nod for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2016. The trio is set to be on the road with Rucker through Oct. 6.
