Laura Bell Bundy will jump in front of the camera today to shoot the pilot for a new TBS show, 'Hound Dogs.'

"I'm going to sleep WAY early for me. My call time for tomorrow is 5:30AM! Yay! First day of shooting 'Hound Dogs' pilot. Bow wow wow!" Bundy tweeted Wednesday night.

According to Variety, the new Ron Shelton ('White Men Can't Jump,' 'Blaze') show will follow a fictitious Nashville minor league baseball team with a slew of personal problems.

Bundy will portray an aspiring country singer -- an easy character for her -- who is dating the team's rookie pitcher, played by Rob Mayes.

As an actress, Bundy is best known for her starring role as Elle Woods in the Broadway version of 'Legally Blonde,' and Amber Von Tussle in 'Hairspray.'

As a musician, Bundy released her first two singles, 'Giddy on Up' and 'Drop On By,' -- from her debut album, Achin' and Shakin,' in 2010.
