Lauren Alaina is about to share new music, and it's going to make you nostalgic.

"My new single, 'Ladies in the ‘90s,' coming October 5th. #FeelingLikeI’mBritney #IMSOEXCITED," she spills on social media.

She has dressed the part, too, donning a Britney Spears tank top with a choker, and her hair up high in a bright red scrunchie. It's everything that made the '90s so unique, and the song will probably follow suit.

Fans are overjoyed by the news, with many sharing Britney Spears memes in response.

"Ladies in the '90s" follows Alaina's singles "Next Boyfriend," "Road Less Traveled" and "Doin' Fine" off her 2017 album, Road Less Traveled. This is the first she's shared from what's likely a new album.

The country singer received her first-ever No. 1 single with the album's title track, and earlier this year was recognized by the ACM Awards with her first trophy for ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year. In a clip from the ACM's Facebook page, Alaina couldn't even speak when Reba McEntire called her to tell her the good news.

"You're going to make me cry now, cut that out," McEntire tells her, choking up too. "Honey, I'm so proud for you. You guys have worked so hard and this is what our business needs, more like you."

Alaina's 2018 continues with career milestones piled on career milestones — she was recently nominated in the category of New Artist of the Year at the upcoming CMA Awards. She'll find out if she won when the 2018 CMA Awards air live from Nashville on Nov. 14.
