Leah Turner’s Catchy Single ‘Blah Blah Blah’ Inspired by Empty Promises + Wine [Exclusive Premiere]
Leah Turner is back with new music! The 2019 CMT Next Women of Country class member exclusively debuts her new single, "Blah Blah Blah," with Taste of Country today, May 23.
The song is from the perspective of a woman who has heard enough empty words from her significant other.
"All I'm hearing is your blah blah blah / You run your mouth, I'm saying nah nah nah / You say there's nothing you won't do for me / But I can't listen, I'm like la la la / I'm standing up, and you're like nah nah nah / Your words mean nothing they're just words to me / All I'm hearing is your blah blah blah," she sings in the chorus

Turner penned the song after getting inspiration from wine and previous life experiences.
"I had all the empty promises and my fair share of full glasses of wine... which led me to all I could hear was blah blah blah," Turner tells Taste of Country. "So I took my heart to paper and that’s what you are listening to now!"
The song is a pop-country jam that almost all of the ladies can relate to. Turner tells the story of an ex-boyfriend's broken promises, which are so many that she begins seeing his words as just blah blah blah. The infectious chorus and soulful vocals showcase the power Turner has as an artist.
The new song is the first single for Turner since she released her self-titled EP in 2017. Her previous single was "Sleep You Off," which she released independently. Turner also previously scored a Top 40 hit with "Take the Keys" in 2014.
Turner shared on her Instagram stories that she has filmed a music video for "Blah Blah Blah." The new video features her close friend, fellow country singer Tara Thompson.
"Blah Blah Blah" is set for release on Friday (May 24). It is available to pre-save across various digital music services.
