Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton + More Join 2016 Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam
Charlie Daniels' 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam is going to be one for the record books. The lineup for the epic concert includes Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and several other incredible acts.
On Nov. 30, Bryan and Stapleton will help celebrate during the event at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Kid Rock, Larry the Cable Guy and Travis Tritt are also on the bill. This year promises to be one of the best so far, and this event has been happening since 1974. This year, though, Daniels has two reasons to celebrate.
"This year, I will celebrate two milestones, my 80th birthday and the Volunteer Jam," he says in a press release. "It's pretty amazing that we're both alive and kicking and still going strong. Ain't it good to be alive and be in Tennessee!"
This will be the event's second time in Bridgestone Arena. It moved in 2015 due to growing popularity. That was also the show's 40th Anniversary, and it was one heck of a party. Trace Adkins, Ted Nugent, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tracy Lawrence, Craig Morgan, Colt Ford, the Oak Ridge Boys, Michael W. Smith, Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry, the Kentucky Headhunters, the Outlaws and Lee Roy Parnell all made appearances in 2015, and the night also brought several surprises. Who knows what special guests will make surprise appearances this year?
Tickets to the 2016 Volunteer Jam are on sale now at Ticketmaster and the Bridgestone Arena Box Office, with prices starting at $25. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Journey Home Project.
